Missouri republicans are looking over their legal options after losing two important races on Tuesday. The party is calling it one of the most scandal-ridden elections in state history. Many in the GOP feel a judge’s decision to keep the poll’s open later in St. Louis cost their candidates votes there. There have also been widespread reports of other irregularities, including elections officials leaving their voting areas unattended, unregistered voters casting ballots, and the discovery of an abandoned ballot box in an empty lot. Meanwhile, Senator Kit Bond is calling for a federal investigation. For more detailed election returns, see the Missouri secretary of state’s website at http://sosweb.sos.state.mo.us/enrweb/.
