Mike Lowell drilled a three-run homer off Matt Morris in the 8th inning, giving the Marlins a 5-3 win over the Cardinals. The Cards led 3-1 entering the 8th, but Morris allowed a walk and a double and Preston Wilson’s run-scoring single to make it 3-2. Then Lowell battled back from an 0-2 count and hit a 3-2 pitch out of the park. The Marlins took two of three from the Cardinals, as Morris fell to 0-4 on the season. The Cardinals are 11-17 since Mark McGwire went down with a knee injury. The Cards host the Colorado Rockies this afternoon in a one-game series to make up an earlier rainout. Garrett Stephenson will start against Rockies ace Pedro Astacio.
