Voters decided two state senate races Tuesday. State Representative John Loudon moves over to the state senate by winning his primary race against fellow Republican Brent Evans, because no Democrats have filed. He replaces Senator Franc Flotron of St. Louis who lost his bid to join the U.S. Congress. In the other senate race decided Tuesday, Senator Wayne Goode of Normandy won re-election.
