Will Clark homered for the fourth consecutive game, but it wasn’t enough as the Braves beat the Cardinals 6-4. Atlanta’s bullpen shut down the Cards with four scoreless innings, giving the Braves two of three in the series. Atlanta relievers threw 11 and 1/3 scoreless innings in the series. Darryl Kile allowed 5 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings to take the loss, and fall to 13-7. The Cards are still six ahead of the Reds. The Cardinals open a three game series with Florida tonight. Rick Ankiel, who has lost four of his last five starts, will pitch for St. Louis against Florida’s Reid Cornelius.
