People heading to the State Fair, which begins in about two weeks’ time, can leave their cars at home and take the train. Amtrak is offering its “Fair Fare” package again this year for fair-goers along Amtrak’s Kansas City-St. Louis corridor. Jim Coleman of the Missouri Department of Transportation says package prices vary, depending on where fair-goers board the train. Bus service to and from the fair and entry to the fairgrounds add about $7 to the price of the train ride.
