Ellen Port of St. Louis holds a six shot lead after the opening day of the Missouri women’s Amateur. Port shot a two-under-par 70 at Jefferson City Country Club. Port has won the tournament twice previously. Girlen McClanahan of Camdenton, and Katie Byland of Overland Park, Kansas are tied for second at 76. The three-round tournament concludes tomorrow.
