A bill signed into law by Governor Carnahan may protect the state’s waters from pollution. In signing the legislation, the governor said additional revenues will help this goal become a reality. The bill increases fees for wastewater permits and generates an additional $2 million dollars for water pollution inspections and enforcement. The bill also gives water districts more flexibility to provide cleaner water.
