Kids miss the bus all the time. But missing the plane is a bit unusual. A Southwest Airlines flight to Chicago late Monday night turned around and returned to Kansas City to pick up three little girls who were left behind. The kids, ages 12, 9, and 8, had gotten off the plane to eat and missed their flight. The airline says it returned for the kids because it was the last flight of the day. Spokeswoman Christine Turnabee-Connely says the other passengers seemed to understand the reason for the delay of more than an hour.
