Missouri is scheduled to execute convicted killer Bert Hunter in a few hours. He’s set to die just after midnight tonight at the prison in Petosi. As the preparations for the execution go on, Governor Carnahan is making it clear he believes safety features are in place to ensure any mistakes in the process would be picked up if Hunter is indeed innocent. Hunter was convicted of the December 1988 murders of a Jefferson City woman and her son.
