Mizzou’s Derrick Peterson came up just short in his bid for a second straight NCAA national championship in the outdoor 800 meters. Peterson finished second in the 800, a tenth of a second behind winner Patrick Nduwimana. Peterson set a school record with a time of 1:45.08. Both Peterson and Ashley Wysong earned all-America honors. Wysong was third in the women’s 800, and set a school record with a time of 2:02.94. Two other Tigers garnered all-America honors: Michelle Moran in the heptathalon, and Sunny Gilbert in the 800.
