Two Kansas City area schools have won state tennis championships. Rockhurst beat Kirkwood 5-2 to win the 4A title for the fifth consecutive time. The win means seniors Andy Metzler and Ryan Osgood are the first athletes in Rockhurst history to be part of a state championhsip team all four years. Pembroke Hill beat defending champ Mary Institute Country Day School 5-1 to win the 1A to 3A title. MICDS beat Pembroke for the title last year.
