Central Missouri State has reeled off a 19 game conference winning streak, running its record to 38-9, and 26-1 in the M-I-double-A. Coach Brad Hill says he wasn’t sure what to expect, heading into the season, because the team lost seven seniors from last year, and has just three seniors on this year’s roster. The Mules have been led by second baseman Chris Curry, who leads the conference in hitting at .475, and has not committed an error in league play. Pitcher Josh Reynolds, from Jefferson City, is 10-1 with a 2.45 ERA and is drawing attention from pro scouts. The Mules have clinched the home field for the conference tournament, and are setting their sights on a berth in the NCAA regionals, and the Division II world series. The Mules wrap up their regular season this weekend with a three game series at Northwest Missouri State.
