The state climatologist says we’ve just been through the driest April in Missouri in the last 106 years. Climatologist Adnan Akyuz says it’s a bad trend. Last year Missouri had the fourth-driest summer and fall combined. All 114 counties were eligible for drought disaster relief last year. We’ve just been through the tenth warmest winter on record–which means little moisture from snow. The national drought mitigation center says most of Missouri is facing a severe drought.
