A five year prison sentence has been given a former National Guard major who stole mines. Ex-major Richard Rutledge also has to pay 15-thousand dollars restitution for the mines he took. Rutledge has admitted he stole 54 Claymore anti-personnel mines during a 14-year period. He admits he traded some to a man from Hermann, Stanley Eikermann. Eikermann already has been sentenced to 18 months in prison. The federal prosecutor says all of the mines have been recovered or accounted for.
