Members of the Missouri House join the chorus of Missouri politicians speaking out against plans by the federal government to ship nuclear waste across the state. The House has approved a resolution calling on the Department of Energy to return to the route it used last year, Interstate 80 in Iowa, rather than travel I-70 through Missouri. Representative Mike Gibbons of Kirkwood questions why the House is concerned only about this shipment, pointing out other hazardous loads travel I-70. Still, the House approves the resolution unanimously.
