Three more home runs, and another victory for the Cardinals. Mark McGwire, Ray Lankford and Edgar Renteria hit long balls, leading the Cards past Milwaukee, 7-2. McGwire has now homered in three straight games, and has six on the year. Renteria has five. Catcher Mike Matheny continued his hot hitting, driving in two runs with a pair of base hits. Starter Darryl Kile struck out ten Brewers in 7 innings, allowing just six hits and two runs. He is 4-1 on the year. Tonight, the Cards will send rookie Rick Ankiel to the mound against Milwaukee’s Steve Woodard.
