St. Peters has been rejected in its courtship of the St. Louis Cardinals. St. Peters is a suburb which has offered up to 30 acres of free land as the site for the new stadium the Cardinal ownership wants to build. But Cardinals president Mark Lamping says the Cardinals remain committed to a downtown stadium even though studies show only seven percent of the people going to Cardinals’ games live in the city.
