The city of Holland, Missouri comes under criticism from the state auditor…who says the city was late preparing a budget for this year and did not properly have budgets for the two previous years that met state laws. The auditor says the community has not filed necessary financial reports with her office since 19-97. The city also is faulted because one person is the city treasurer, the city collector and the city clerk. The audit also says the city marshal has been paid more than 23-thousand dollars also to be city water supervisor. The auditor says that’s a violation of state law–to be paid for working a second paid municipal government job.
