The commander of the bomber wing at Whiteman Air Force Base is the Air Force’s Outstanding Wing Commander of the Air Combat Command. Brigadier General Leroy Barnidge Junior is recognized for his personal leadership. He leads the nation’s only B-2 bomber wing. He is being honored for bringing the B-2 into mainstream air force operations.
