The only Missourian charged in the Evans family prostitution case has been sentenced to two years in prison. April Wood of St. Louis County had pleaded guilty to conspiracy and money laundering. She’d been charged with hiring some of the teenage prostitutes used by the prostitution ring run in several states by several members of the Evans family of Minneapolis. She was one of 15 people charged. Nine pleaded guilty. A federal jury convicted the other six last month.
