Missouri’s law that lets prosecutors file murder charges against those who accidentally beat a child to death has been upheld by the state appeals court in Kansas City. The case will be appealed to the state supreme court. The case is that of John J. Williams, convicated two years ago and sentenced to 30 years in prison for using a belt to beat a two-year-old boy to death after the boy wet his pants.
