Two games into the season, those offseason moves look great for the Cardinals. Jim Edmonds homered, doubled, and drove in three runs, as the Cardinals beat Chicago for the second straight time, 10-4. Pat Hentgen got his first win as a Cardinal, allowing three runs in 5 2/3 innings. Mark McGwire sat out for the second straight day, but no matter. Edmonds and Ray Lankford homered, and Eric Davis drove in a pair of runs. McGwire is expected to play when the teams meet this afternoon. Garrett Stephenson will face Kyle Farnsworth in the finale of the three-game series.
