Pierre Turgeon will return to the Blues lineup tonight when St. Louis hosts Toronto. Turgeon has missed 24 games after tearing ligaments in his thumb. His return is especially timely, because the Blues are without leading scorer Pavol Demitra, who has a concussion and will miss at least ten days. Blues players are upset that Tampa Bay’s Brian Holzinger hasn’t been suspended over Demitra’s injury. Holzinger checked Demitra into the boards from behind. Turgeon was the Blues’ leading scorer before he got hurt. As well as the Blues have been playing, their lead in the Central has been trimmed to three points over the Red Wings, who have been playing even better. The Blues have two games in hand.
