An offer from a gun industry group to donate five thousand gun safety locks has been rejected by St. Louis Mayor Clarence Harmon. Harmon calls the offer from the National Shooting Sports Foundation “a last-ditch, back-door” attempt that might be designed to undermine the city’s lawsuit against gun manufacturers. The Association says it provides the locks in 30 other cities and counties.
