An internal disagreement in the Ozark city government is headed to the state ethics commission. Former alderman John Custer wants the commission to rule whether a candidate for the city board of aldermen can run despite being a state employee. And Custer accuses Mayor Roger Fortner of endorsing candidates for the board, which Custer thinks is wrong. Custer quit as an alderman in Ozark last fall after disagreements with the mayor.
