A man charged with shoving a piece of steak into his girlfriend’s mouth, causing her to choke to death, has decided not to contest the criminal charge against him. James Krebs of St. Louis had been charged with second degree murder. In a plea bargain, he has pleaded no-contest to a manslaughter charge. He’s not admitting guilt, but he does admit there’s enough evidence to convict him. Evidence showed Krebs, his girlfriend, and another couple had consumed more than two bottles of vodka before the argument that led to the woman’s death.
